Industrial engineering in society

At Hidral, we are extremely proud to be part of the vibrant business fabric of Seville and, even more so, to witness the great milestones that our city has reached in the field of industrial engineering.

The Official College of Industrial Engineers of Western Andalusia has taken the initiative to bring directly to society the knowledge of Industrial Engineering to the visible place it deserves. With this intention in mind, this urban exhibition has been set up under the name of "Industrial Engineering". Industrial Engineering 'Solving problems, overcoming limits'. which is located next to the Puerta de Jerez in Seville. The exhibition takes a look at the professional excellence in andalusian industrial engineering. It will be available until 23 May.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Secretary General for Energy of the Andalusian Regional Government, Manuel Larrasa Rodríguez; the President of the Seville Port Authority, Rafael Carmona; the Governing Board of the COIIAOC; and representatives of the main Andalusian engineering companies.

The exhibition is not only an opportunity to highlight the progress and relevance of industrial engineering in our region, but also to make local companies known to citizens with a long history, as in the case of Hidral, which next year celebrates its 50th anniversary. At the same time, this type of initiatives serve as a support to promote reflections on the crucial role played by local companies as agents of change and progress. From agriculture to renewable energies, elevation to digital transformation, industrial engineering is a key driver in solving the current and future challenges facing our society.

As our particular Mupi in the exhibition says: 'Industrial engineering contributes to satisfy human needs to move, access, communicate, trade and establish relationships freely, without sacrificing other basic human or environmental values. Solving complex problems to meet current and future challenges, always at the forefront and committed to sustainability'.

We are honoured to be part of this exhibition and to share our history and achievements with the community.
