At Hidral, continuous improvement is a constant that we carry out in all processes to keep satisfying the needs of all our clients. One of our main goals achieving energy efficiency of all our products, this is why we have made a design modification to change the shaft luminaires in Hidral's QH elevators for flexible LED strips that represent a great improvement to the system. Some of the benefits of this change are:
- Weight reduction, storage space and greater ease of installation.
- Very low electricity consumption (much lower than that of incandescent or halogen lamps).
- At the same length as other types of systems, the illumination of the LED strip is greater and is better distributed throughout the gap.
The new luminaires are not generic LED strips, but are specifically designed for use as elevator shaft lighting. They are made of a silicone profile with a printed circuit board inside and have high flexibility and resistance. They are resistant to oil and have very good resistance to the passage of time. These are just some of its features.
Another point in favor of this new shaft lighting is that it is supplied in different parts. Some electrical connections must be made by the installer, but it is easier to handle and install than if it were shipped fully pre-wired, like the current solution.
