Elevators and other lifting solutions have become a basic necessity in our society. We live in large cities that grow vertically every day offering to an increasingly aging population houses that they could not otherwise access.
However, it is a reality that there are still a large number of buildings without elevator in which the elimination of architectural barriers was not taken into account during their construction.
Now that we all know how it feels not being able to leave our homes it´s easier to put ourselves in the shoes of those people who are right now in their perpetual confinement for living in a building that doesn´t count with an elevator or some lifting solution that guarantees accessibility to their homes.
Therefore, we are happy to see that accessibility is a priority matter for decisión-makers at higher levels of government and good proof of this isnews like this about the request to oblige by law to do accessibility works such as elevators and ramps in all and each of the buildings that don´t have them yet.
